Join us for a special Minneapolis edition of our crash course in slapstick - hosted by Jungle Theater!

In this four hour crash course, you'll learn the basics of physical comedy and knockabout clowning, from solo slapstick to gags with props and comic partner acrobatics. You’ll build essential skills like slipping, tripping, tumbling, falling, and running into walls in the name of hilarity. We’ll also cover comic violence including partner slaps, hair pulls, foot stomps, head bonks, and other injurious actions, both intentional and accidental. Finally, we’ll explore comic structure and string our skills together into combinations and short bits that serve to develop character and tell a story.

This is a workshop for actors, acrobats, improvisers, clowns, comedians, and anyone who is excited to develop their physical funny. Open to all skill levels.
