The Torch Relay unites people across the globe in a ceremonial passing of the flame from one torchbearer to the next. Join Captain Judy “Wham Wham” Victors and be a part of the 2020 Pandemic Games Opening Torch Relay! With your help, the bright flame of play will pass around the world!
TO PARTICIPATE IN THE TORCH RELAY
TRAIN
To run a leg of the 2020 Pandemic Games Torch Relay:
STEP ONE: Find an object to be your torch
STEP TWO: Light the torch with a symbolic ‘flame’
STEP THREE: In LANDSCAPE (turn your phone sideways), video yourself (alone or with your germ pod) receiving your torch from the left side of your camera screen, moving across your screen, then handing it off the right side of your screen. Your video should be no more than 10 seconds long.
STEP FOUR: Post! Share your journey on social media, making sure to use the following tags: @clown_corps @clowncorps #2020pandemicgames #PGtorchrelay #clowncorps

The Opening Ceremony begins with a live-stream viewing of a video montage linking Torchbearers passing the flame around the world (see how to TRAIN above to be a part of the montage) - and ends with a live passing of the flame from one zoom window to the next until it reaches and lights the official Pandemic Games Cauldron.
